Welcome to The Enchanted Oak

A Tranquil Retreat in the Ceredigion Countryside

We’re Mike and Tracey, proud owners of this peaceful retreat on our smallholding in the heart of West Wales. Since arriving in 2022, we’ve poured our hearts into bringing this once-neglected land back to life. Whether you prefer traditional camping or a touch of glamping luxury, we’ve got you covered – with 10 individual pitches and cosy 4m bell tents complete with comfy beds and thoughtful touches.

Tucked away in the stunning Aeron Valley, we’re perfectly placed for exploring the Ceredigion countryside and the charming Georgian town of Aberaeron, just a short drive away.

We live on-site and are always happy to help, whether that’s suggesting local gems, helping plan your day, or simply making sure you’re comfortable. Our goal is to offer a welcoming, five-star experience where individuals, couples, friends and families can relax, reconnect, and enjoy the magic of nature.

We can’t wait to welcome you to our little slice of West Wales.

Spectacular Views

Our bell tents provide breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape, across the beautiful Aeron Valley. Marvel at the scenic vistas from the comfort of your tent or relax outside, taking in the natural splendour that awaits you.

Thoughtful Amenities

High-quality bed linens, colourful seating arrangements, fairy lights, and personal touches add a touch of charm and warmth to your stay. Plus, we provide logs, kindling, fire starters, and matches to make your evenings around the fire pit even cosier.

Shared Kitchen Area

In addition to your own cool boxes and freezer packs, we have a shared camping kitchen area where you can prepare meals. Here you'll find all the essentials: a large fridge freezer, two grills with toaster functionality, two kettles and multiple sets of pots, pans, cutlery and tableware.

Private Toilet & Shower

Enjoy the convenience and privacy of your own personal eco-conscious toilet and shower facilities alongside each bell tent, perfect for freshening up after a day of outdoor adventures. In line with our ethos, we provide environmentally friendly toiletries for your use in the shower.

Escape to the Outdoors

Pitch Your Own Tent

If you prefer a more traditional camping experience, The Enchanted Oak offers up to 10 camping pitches. Our smaller pitches are ideal for bikers, hikers, walkers, and cyclists who wish to bring their own tents, with no minimum night stay.

Whether you’re embarking on a cycling tour, hiking expedition, or simply immersing yourself in nature’s beauty in picturesque West Wales, our camping pitches offer a cosy and comfortable base for your adventures.

Please note, we are unable to accommodate large (greater than four berth) family tents.

Convenient Facilities

Our shared facilities are thoughtfully designed to enhance your stay. The camping area features its own composting toilet, and an LPG gas-fired shower, in line with our sustainable ethos. We have a well-equipped camping kitchen with a sink and washing up area, a large fridge freezer, a large griddle with three cooking areas, a toaster, a kettle and mugs, cutlery and tableware.

BBQ & Fire Pit

Whether you're toasting marshmallows, grilling a tasty dinner, or simply relaxing by the fire, our dedicated BBQ area is available for use, and we can provide a fire pit that allows you to create unforgettable moments under the stars. After a day of exploring the beauty of Ceredigion, you can unwind, watch the sun go down, and immerse yourself in the tranquil atmosphere of our campsite.

Campfire Delights

We provide sustainably sourced firewood from our own trees, kindling, fire starters and matches, ensuring that you can enjoy a crackling fire while minimising environmental impact. If you need any additional supplies, our on-site shop offers charcoal for purchase, providing you with all the essentials you may require during your camping adventure.

transport during your stay

Explore West Wales with Ease

We warmly welcome those who prefer alternative modes of travel. If you’re using public transport or exploring the area on two wheels, we’re conveniently located along a main bus route that connects to the train network in Aberystwyth. To make your journey even easier, we provide a collection service from the train station. If you’re embarking on the adventure of walking the West Wales coast path, we’re here to assist you with pickups, drop-offs, and luggage transportation along the way.

If you decide to bring your own vehicle, we recommend leaving it at our site when heading to the coast for the day, as parking can be challenging during the busy summer months. Instead, hop on a bus, rent one of our bicycles, or let us drop you off locally, ensuring a stress-free and enjoyable outing.

As you plan your stay with us, don’t miss the opportunity to explore the local area and discover the hidden gems that await. From charming coastal towns to serene beaches and historic landmarks, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Take a leisurely hike up the hill to the iconic Mwnt Church and enjoy panoramic vistas of the surrounding countryside. If you’re lucky, you might even spot dolphins or seals frolicking in the crystal-clear waters.
